Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of being invited to a town-hall meeting with Governor Doug Ducey to discuss how small businesses and start-ups are so important to Arizona. The event was hosted by the Arizona Commerce Authority, in partnership with RevAZ, and was at an amazing local coffee shop called DeSoto Central Market in Phoenix.
The room was filled with about 70 Arizona based businesses, from tech firms, developers, builders, architect firms and manufacturers. Governor Ducey talked about doing business in our amazing state, how he's working to make it easier for small and big companies to make Arizona their home and how companies should look outside of government for mentoring and support.
He answered all his questions candidly (even mine) and really showed that he's here to support us and not hinder our growth, since healthy companies make for a healthy Arizona. I'm glad I was able to attend and meet the Governor - its nice to see that they are supporting not only new business, but green companies that are trying to make a difference.
