Homes for Our Troops Groundbreaking

This weekend A&E Recycled Granite is up in beautiful Prescott, Arizona participating in the Homes for Our Troops groundbreaking ceremony for Sgt. Brian Roberts.

There are so many local companies involved in the build of his new home. A new home thats going to give hime the freedom of living independantly again. Allow him to visit his kids bedrooms and have full access to his kitchen. Dorn Homes will be building the home and for the first time in HFOT history all building costs are going to be covered! Dorn Homes is amazing to donate the build and find local compaines to donate their services as well.

Setting up for the ceremony. We're helping to unload chairs and decorate the tent. Gina Colon, from HFOT, is amazing. She's dedicated to her charities cause and you can tell she puts all her energy into getting it "right" for the Veteran!

Guests are starting to arrive. So many from the Prescott Valley area are actively involved. This community is very excited to give SGT Brian Roberts his home!

There's a storm rolling in and the wind is really picking up, but its time to go outside and wait for the motorcade to arrive. Everyone's very excited! Here he comes! He arrived with Police escort, the Mayor and an amazing guard of the local Vietnam Veterans Biker club!

We listened to several speakers talk about the importance of honoring our Veterans and what Homes For Our Troops does. But when SGT Brian Roberts spoke, about his injury and his journey, there was hardly a dry eye. The love he has for his country is amazing! It's time to dig-in and start building!

Look at the amazing views they're going to have on their backporch!

Homes for Our Troops is a wonderful organization and one that A & E Recycled Granite is happy to be working with. It's nice to be able to donate materials that we recycle through our Greener Gifts program and allow the Veteran and his family to live in a home featuring sustainable products.The next time we drive up to Prescott Valley it will be to help install our Split Stone Veneer in the Roberts' kitchen.
